Well, today is the day when I can start packing and getting ready for tomorrow. School is finished. I managed to sleep in till 7.00 (still feel exhausted) and now I am faced with All The Things I Need To Do.
1. Packing
Clearly this is one of the most intrinsic things about going away. My mother glibly says 'oh but you don't need to take much'. 'A-hem, oh mother, have you NO idea?'
Gone are the days when one could simply throw in a swimming costume, a pair of shorts and a clean t-shirt. Malta is a small island. I can't POSSibly be seen in the same outfit twice. Someone may notice.
2. Toiletries
We already discussed this. Ready for all eventualities, who knows when a body souffle is going to be needed?
3. Money
This is causing me no small amount of grief. I am going to the postoffice to get all my money changed up to about 10.90 worth of Euros.
4. Paperwork
Don't know even where to begin regarding this. Ask me Friday when I'm there what happened.
