Marsaxlock Fish market. Got there about 9.00 and, much to my surprise, it wasn’t as busy as I was anticipating. We were able to walk around in relative comfort and look at all the dead and dying fish. Much the same could be said of the vegetables. We bought a few vegetables and also some langoustine – about 1 kilo. That’s supper for tonight! Got back to the apartment and read for a while as it was so damn not. The maltese do complain about the heat, which I find quite funny. We went to the beach at about 3.00. It was packed. My idea of holiday hell. The boy attempted some more fishing, but the fishys weren’t coming out to play. Don’t blame them myself.
Back at the apartment we sorted out supper with our earlier catch of the day. Then we promenaded around the harbour as the rest of Malta is wont to do. Sunday night is clearly the social evening of the week.
